MY CREATIVE PROCESS

When I travel, I take my tripod and cell phone with me. I let myself be carried along by spontaneous moments and synchronicities, in order to capture the photo and video material. I gather bits of color, frequencies, shapes and sounds that inspire me. These are unique moments of encounters, when you come across a landscape or someone on your path. We are faced with the precious uniqueness of a moment that needs to be told through a creative process of photographic or videographic capture. Through the lens, behind each object, a story is told, a visual narrative, revealing the depth inherent in the details of our everyday existence. Be it a field of grass, a stream, a landscape, a simple leaf, an open door, a fabric dancing in the wind, a coffee pot, a look. The elements fire water air earth are often poetically represented.
My approach is based on the concept of biophilia: “the passionate love of life and all living things... whether a person, a plant, an idea or a social group” (Erich Fromm). (It's the love and curiosity of living beings that fuels my inspiration.

STATE OF MIND FOR THE CREATIVE PROCESS
During the recording and realization of the work, I will calm my mind, meditate, sing, dance, take a walk in nature and leave behind the worries and stresses of everyday life. This state of mind allows for spontaneity and inspiration, and is the basis of the creative impulse. You create what you feel.

STAGES IN THE CREATION OF A WORK OF ART

PHOTOGRAPHIC OR VIDEO CAPTURE

In certain cases, photographs or videos can be used as they are, without alteration, as works in their own right.

PROJECTIONS

Some works will be created from photo/video projections in the studio. The photographs or videos will be projected onto a white wall to recreate new works. My creative process for the projections resembles an alchemical experiment that deconstructs and dematerializes images in light. By superimposing several images on the wall, a new poetry of light emerges. My imagination can play with the transmutation effect of vibrant colors and varied textures. Something genuinely new is created, bearing a singular existence, with a renewed, more personal frequency.

second capture
Throughout the process of projecting the images and videos onto the screen or wall, I capture again with the cell phone or camera what I feel will emerge as an interesting concept and final work.
