It calls for a return to essential foundations, what must be recognized, rediscovered, and preserved. Algae range from small forms of phytoplankton to algae several feet long. These photosynthetic creatures turn sunlight into food and energy. They contribute magnificently to the evolution of living things. ALGA 9 is an invitation to rediscover the beauty of algae.

This artwork was created in 2023 from a photo-projection made with photographs of seaweed and seashore grasses captured in Bic National Park, located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, near the city of Rimouski, Québec, Canada.
