These fossilized shells, embedded in the layers of the Sahara, tell an ancient story. More than forty million years ago, this land, now desert, was a shallow tropical sea, home to corals and shells, known as the Tethys Sea. It once covered much of North Africa. Here, the sea and the desert coexist in the memory of time, united by the impermanence of the world. Nothing truly disappears; everything transforms.
