Thanks to their essential and varied habitats, mangroves benefit populations in terms of food and coastal protection. As one of the most biomass-producing ecosystems on our planet, they contribute to ecological resilience. More philosophically, they represent the inner strength we need to preserve what's important to us. In this artwork The Mangrove, Between Sea and Land 5, the mangrove trees, with their impenetrable roots, act as guardians and protectors.
This artwork was created in 2024 from a photo-projection made from Photographs of the mangrove of the Somone Bay, Senegal, and of the pre-Atlas Plateaus near Chichaoua, Morocco, Africa.
It is offered as an open reproduction on fine art paper.
